I saw a friend’s basement that was so uniquely styled while still being very functional. He just finished our kitchen remodel which turned into almost a whole first floor remodel since we were so pleased with our working relationship. Gary is extremely talented in design and construction. His work ethic and communication skills are exceptional. I highly recommend Gary.

Gary came recommended by friends. We had seen his work (basement finishing, room addition, room refinishing) in more than one home and we liked his sense of style and workmanship. He worked with us on three built-in projects for our home: a built-in desk, a mudroom project, and a banquette. Gary was patient with us as we worked through our design ideas, and came back with drawings and ideas that really improved from our original concepts. He communicated throughout the project from beginning to end, and he was very accomodating for our somewhat unpredictable schedules. He, and his subcontractors, were on time and on budget, and the final products look and work great! We would hire Gary, again, without hesitation and highly recommend him.

We had a remodel with a little bit of everything. We added a mudroom, moved doorways, added a powder room, removed walls, added support systems, moved HVAC, moved the electrical box, redid floors, pained interior and exterior, and put in a patio slab and a shade sail. Gary was meticulous about all the details: budget, timeline and design. The best thing about Gary is his quality work and his work ethic. He also if very particular about his subcontractors. We were very happy with all of them and have even used the plumbers since.
As with any project, there were bumps on the road like it snowing over a foot the night before day one of the project where the plan was to pour the foundation of the mudroom or the discovery of an entire wall with water damage that had to be reframed. Gary wasted no time and would shift gears on a dime. If the foundation guys didn’t show up on the first day, he started demoing the master closet instead. He also called the foundation guys first thing in the morning and told them there was no excuse for not showing, snow or no snow.
I still walk around the house so very happy about all the improvements to make our space more livable. A couple of the seemingly simple changes we wanted required him to really come up with atypical solutions. He had to figure out how to make a workable roofline on the added 100 square feet, change the supports because we wanted a wall removed even if it was weight bering, figure a solution to the new sewage line to have enough fall, and my favorite is his idea to put the new door to the new master walk-in closet at an angle. That last idea was such a simple one, but made such a difference in entering our bedroom. He also suggested we keep a fireplace that we had wanted demoed. His main reason was that there was likely some beautiful brick behind the sheetrock and having the brick walls in the new mudroom entry would keep/add character to the house. He was right. There are several other design details that I could go on and on about. The space just works now.
Bottom line is we highly recommend him. I may post photos later, but it is the before and after that is more impressive.

Krause Construction recently completed the unique design and build out of 2 rooms in my newly purchased home. Gary Krause and Krause Construction exceeded all of my expectations from the initial consultation, design and build, and finally the finish of the project. Krause Construction proved timely and effective in their communications, scheduling, and quality of workmanship. I especially appreciated their focus on details and providing open/honest communications regarding the project as it proceeded from start to finish. In addition, they provided guidance on certain parts of the project that I chose to complete myself with the utmost patience and care to ensure I completed with the same level of quality. We hired Gary to design and build a built-in entertainment center for our living room and he exceeded our expectations. The design was amazing and provided us with much needed storage. Once the built-in was installed we were blown away, it was amazing! Gary is very professional and I’d recommend his services to anyone.

My wife and I purchased a home that was in desperate need of updating. Gary had done some remodeling in a previous home so we are truly repeat customers.Our project was big! We wanted to drastically change our master bedroom and bath, completely remodel the kitchen, as well as refinish a basement that was done incorrectly by the previous home owners. We knew that whomever we used, we were going to be spending a lot of time in transition. Gary had some great and innovative ideas for design, while still listening to our needs and budget. Gary showed up faithfully every single day he promised to, many times early. The quality and craftsmanship of the finished product was fantastic. We were so pleased with his work, the following year, we hired Krause Construction to replace our backyard deck. I would never use anyone else! Thanks Gary, We love your work.

We live near Castle Rock and have used Gary Krause for several renovation projects. Twelve years ago he finished a library/study for us. Recently, he renovated two bathrooms and completed several smaller projects for us. He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of construction. He has great ideas about materials and design and was able to match some existing design components. His estimates are professional and on target. His tile work is beautiful. Construction is cleaned up daily and he is always on time. We do not hesitate in our recomendation of him for any construction project no matter how complicated.

Gary designed and built a new kitchen in our carriage house. It is beautiful! This was a particularly hard job on the numan relations end because my elderly father was living in the carriage house. Gary took great care to work respectfully with him and his mobility needs. The site was cleaned every day, there was never a mess or foul language, everything happened on schedule and on budget. The result exceeded expectations. This past Sunday, four months after project completion, we found a little water behind the appliances. Gary was there first thing the next morning to fix it himself. On price, Gary was exactly at the same place as the other bidder, but far exceeded him in professionalism. We are definitley going with Gary for future needs.

We have used Krause Construction for 11 years now, ever since we moved to Colorado from California, and have always been extremely please with Gary’s work. He has done tile work in 3 bathrooms, built several decks, a gorgeous barn with an office on the upper floor with built in beds and desk, remodeled a bath room and recently added a green house/sun room attached to our living room with french doors. Gary’s work has always been professional in all aspects. We would highly recommend Krause Construction for all remodels.

I live in a townhome in Capital Hill which I had custom built 10 years ago. I hired Gary to finish out the basement and to update the rest of the house. Since I have been in the real estate development business (hospitals and healthcare) for over 20 years I am very picky. I did not want any dirt or dust in my house and I wanted disturbances kept to a minimum. I also have two cats who I did not want to get out.

Gary did a a great job in designing the space ( I did not have to hire an architect) and in helping me to pick out finishes. The project included a new bedroom, full bathroom, exercise room and laundry room. He used the same types of techniques that we use in hospital renovations in order to control dust including a couple of things I had not seen before.

The entire project was completed on schedule and on budget and I would not hesitate to hire Gary to do any type of remodeling project again or even to build me a new home.

Gary is extremely pleasant to work with and is really good at helping you to arrive at the correct decisions when you undertake a construction project.
